Final week for Farmstand pickups
Next week we’ll see you at Perkasie Farmers Market
Opening day is right around the corner
We are only a handful of days away from Opening Day at Perkasie Farmers Market Saturday June 4th from 9a-12n. There are lots of local vendors growing and preparing great things to share and we’re looking forward to getting back into the swing of Market season with all of you.
In the meantime, we’re still feeling green!
Our first bunched greens are making their appearance this week with a round of tuscan kale alongside our bok choy back for another week. Tuscan kale is a favorite for kale chips and is a terrific + quick addition to any quiche or pasta. Bok choy would of course be a great choice for greening up some homemade miso ramen.
Hakurei turnips have turned up this week, ready for fresh snacking with hummus or turning into a bright spring stir-fry with fresh cilantro and scallions. Rounding out our herb selection this week are parsley and dill - the perfect pair for many a pesto or a refreshing salad dressing for our lettuce blend.
Keeping it brief this week as we work away on getting so many summer plants in the ground and keeping the birds away from our ripening strawberries.
Thank you for joining us this season!
Stay well.
Regards,
Rosemary + Pete
